To combat trafficking in persons (TIP), AED works with governments, CSOs, citizens, religious leaders, and law enforcement at local, national, and regional levels

South Asia Regional Initiative Equity (SARI/Equity) Support Project:
  • Rule of Law: Promotes implementation of anti-trafficking laws; trains law enforcement personnel
  • Migration: Helps ensure safe migration through policy advocacy and education
  • Rehabilitation: Develops regional standards for shelters and counselors; coordinates regional programs to support victims willing to testify
  • Regional Action Forums: Realizes policy change at the national and regional levels.
Bangladesh Human Rights Advocacy Project (BHRAP) supports CSOs to identify, publicize, and pursue remedial action for human trafficking and other systemic rights abuses against women and children in Bangladesh
  • Our innovative Imam Program involves Imams with NGOs in the anti-trafficking fight
  • Our Human Trafficking Research Project provides information on labor migration/trafficking to help Bangladeshi women and their guardians make better-informed decisions
CAP's Mexico Trafficking in Persons Shelter Project builds shelters and local governments' capacity provide services to TIP victims by strengthening the National Shelters Network of Anti-TIP shelters, training shelter staff, and facilitating State Task Forces in coordinating anti-trafficking efforts
