CCSG manages projects specifically designed to strengthen and make sustainable civil society's capacity to influence public policy, improve government accountability and citizen responsiveness, address community problems, and build peace.
CCSG strengthens civil society by increasing the financial and organizational sustainability of CSOs, NGOs, and NGO networks through institutional development, advocacy, training, and grants.
We engage local training organizations to assist and strengthen program grantees; with our guidance and assistance, grantee and local training providers progress simultaneously, developing the partnerships and skills that will ensure their sustainability.
CCSG currently manages 15 multi-year civil society strengthening projects worldwide. Other AED Centers, specializing in health, education, and natural resources management, build the capacity and sustainability of CSOs working in those sectors.
