The AED Center for Civil Society and Governance supports citizens to mobilize effectively to influence policy, improve lives, and build peace.
Building democracy requires mobilizing diverse citizen groups. Locally, regionally, and nationally, we address critical issues by organizing people around shared interests and problems. We believe that the process of connecting individuals and groups to work together for change is both a significant end in itself and a means to the shared ends of peace, democracy, and development.
