CCSG Expertise > Peacebuilding

In programs in conflict-sensitive areas, CCSG integrates a peacebuilding lens with our more than 40 years of experience in all traditional development.

We bring conflicting groups together to find common ground and answers to shared challenges, whether they relate to health, security, education, natural resource management, governance, or economic development.

We seek to prevent, reduce, and transform violence by fostering relationships through mediation, negotiation, and dialogue.

We identify, support, and link local capacities, building upon local assets for peace and strengthening local partners.

We target key populations, groups with the greatest potential to transform conflict: youth, women, traditional and religious leaders, and the Diaspora.

We ensure that our projects are designed so that (at least) they "do no harm" and (at best) positively impact conflict by using several innovative tools, such as conflict-sensitive M&E.

We have pioneered work in multi-stakeholder engagement in peace processes-using One Text, KAP surveys, Teledramas, peace media, journalist trainings, and People's Forums to engage all stake holders, from the grassroots to key political players, in a comprehensive peace effort.
