Managing African Conflict

Managed by AED, which currently has offices in 21 African countries and a global portfolio of CPMR programs, the MAC Consortium connects the AED Center for Civil Society and Governance and four additional core partners with extensive African CPMR experience (Search for Common Ground, Innovative Resources Management, SaferAfrica, and CECORE). The consortium also includes nine African CPMR resource organizations, a network of universities and research organizations, and additional international resource organizations.

The AED MAC Consortium is united by a common commitment to working with USAID missions and other U.S. Government entities to develop and implement flexible, rapid, and appropriate CPMR programming that links sound analysis with innovative practice, uses multi-track, multi-level approaches, leverages multiple sectors, and respects and builds upon local CPMR knowledge and experience. We are distinguished by on-the-ground, long-term experience in Africa, our ability to quickly mobilize CPMR experts matched to all phases and types of conflict, and our toolbox of innovative CPMR methods.
