PARTNERSHIPS (GRASP)

GRASP fostered effective and sustainable partnerships between local governments and CSOs to improve the quality of life in local communities throughout Romania. As a subcontractor to DAI, AED managed the design, development and implementation of 52 grants amounting to $1.8 million to support projects that improve the lives of citizens throughout Romania. 31 grants totaling $939,000 were awarded to CSOs partnering with local governments to address community-identified needs. These 31 organizations joined forces with 61 city halls, 13 county councils, 27 other CSOs, 19 public institutions, and 10 private companies to implement projects. GRASP also awarded several small grants to promote policy initiatives.
