Nepal Women's Peacebuilding Networks Program
Print
Version (PDF)
The Nepal Women’s Peacebuilding Networks Program was a reconciliation program to strengthen the effectiveness of women’s networks to engage in the peace process. Involving diverse women’s groups in the peace process is an essential step to ensuring that those directly involved in and affected by the conflict facilitate the country’s transition to a peaceful, well-governed democracy.
The Nepal Women’s Peacebuilding Networks Program built on Nepali women’s historical role in the peacebuilding processes by:
- Accessing women’s networks, suggesting optimal network organizational structures and providing guidance in identifying key capacities.
- Cultivating dialogue among women at all levels of the peace process including: negotiators, advisors, stakeholder group organizations, national-level civil society, private sector, and grassroots-level constituencies.
